A golden opportunity

We offer graduates a unique chance to step into our uniquely supportive workplace culture, becoming part of our international and diverse team and experiencing the rewarding purpose of our work: to significantly improve patients’ lives through innovation.

Young people graduating from university can find themselves feeling slightly overwhelmed by all the options available to them. Despite several high-profile initiatives aiming to encourage more people to study, there still aren’t enough qualified young professionals to go around. This results in young graduates finding an attractive offer waiting for them around every corner. And naturally, they are looking for a special and challenging opportunity, wherever it is in the world.

Here at Grünenthal we can offer just that and stand out from the crowd by providing the chance to join an international specialist. We are the leading pharmaceutical company in the field of pain research and pain management and have a tailored 24 months “Graduates at Grünenthal” program waiting for young professionals. For graduates, this is a unique chance to step into our uniquely supportive workplace culture, becoming part of our international and diverse team and experiencing the rewarding purpose of our work: to significantly improve patients’ lives through innovation.

Welcoming scientific, technical and business graduates in the pharmaceutical industry, we provide them with the opportunity to gain insights into a variety of different departments to experience the workflow of a leading pharmaceutical company firsthand. During the first two years of their careers, they’ll built up a holistic understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, its challenges, opportunities, and how the different parts of our business work together to deliver success stories in this exciting environment.

After an onboarding phase, the graduates begin their first departmental assignment. Each of these stations lasts between four and six months – and can even include an international assignment in one of our affiliates across Europe, Latin America and the US. Alongside the departmental assignments, our graduates receive training in business skills ranging from project management through to delivering a professional presentation. Providing guidance, support and supervision, a personal mentor accompanies each graduate throughout the 24 months of the program, while in each departmental assignment a “buddy” gives guidance and feedback to ensure our graduates get up to speed quickly.

With our “Graduates at Grünenthal” program, we offer young professionals a chance to pick up a wide variety of practical experiences in a leading international pharmaceutical company – while building up additional soft skills at the same time. After two years of in our program, our graduates have evolved into well-rounded candidates who can leverage on the wide range of opportunities an international pharmaceutical company can offer.
