Dieter Peters, born 1956, studied chemistry at RWTH Aachen and received his PHD at the University of Dortmund in the area of solid state chemistry. After his teaching activities as scientific assistant he started his industrial carrier at Hoechst AG in 1986. After several assignments in R&D, production and for the board of directors he was nominated to member of the Business Unit “Organic Chemicals” leadership team responsible for R&D and Quality Management. He transferred in 1996 to Celanese AG in Texas USA. There he managed several international projects and became site director of the production plants Bay City, TX and Houston, TX.
In 2002 he became General Manager of Grünenthal Group Switzerland. In 2009 he became Senior Vice President “Global Industrial Operations” re-sponsible for global production, quality management, procurement, and engineering. Since October 2011 he is Executive Vice President “Global Product Supply”.
