Production Site Germany
Production Site Germany: Grünenthal GmbH
At the Production Site Germany active pharmaceutical ingredients are produced for the Grünenthal global brands, which are available for patients in more than 155 countries worldwide.
Active pharmaceutical ingredients such as Tapentadol, Codeine Resinat and Betahistine are produced in two Multi-Purpose API-Plants. One of the two Multi-Purpose API-Plants is relocated to satisfy the daily increasing need of active pharmaceutical ingredients. This new production site is now being put into operation. Further lines for manufacturing sterile ampoules and liquid forms are also present.
At the Production Site Germany there is also the Packaging Center. Here are 20 high-performance packaging lines where nearly all Grünenthal pharmaceuticals are packaged. It is directly connected to the distribution center and the high-bay warehouse. These have special warehousing and shipping options at their disposal for products which are subject to the Controlled Substance Act. This is Grünenthal’s competence center for packaging and distribution, which is the first in Europe to have a high-bay warehouse approved for narcotics.
The production facility is certified according to EN ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.
