Research & Development
Where the Compounds are born
Our Research and Development (R&D) Centre is located at Headquarters in Aachen (Germany). Approximately 650 employees are working here in the R&D area (including Preclinical R&D, Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs, Drug Safety and other support units). R&D work is mainly focused on chemical, preclinical and clinical science and operations in the field of analgesics.
Grünenthal’s R&D expenditures add up to approximately 25% of company sales.
