Smiles, satisfaction and support for pain patients
Mariángeles is an experienced, highly skilled professional with a deeply personal commitment to her job. In her role as a sales manager at Grünenthal Spain, she places a sharp focus on making sure empathy and compassion are central to her work. She collaborates with healthcare professionals to find the best possible solutions for pain patients in Spain. “At the end of the day, what really matters is how much we have been able to help other people live better lives,” she says. “That is what drives us forward, day after day, on the journey towards our shared vision of a World Free of Pain.”
In two decades at Grünenthal, Mariángeles Caro Cabello has gained first-hand insights into the positive impact that effective pain treatments make on patients – including people from her own family. Her mother suffers from chronic pain and requires effective medicines to manage that condition. “Pain is an inevitable part of life but our mission is to make sure it is not an insurmountable obstacle,” she says. “Personally, that means seeing my own mother wake up every morning with a smile on her face because one of our medicines has given her back the joy of life.”
Smiles are a precious sign of how pain treatments make a difference. Mariángeles has seen a lot of them. She is always happy to share stories of emotional moments from her time at Grünenthal. One example involves a patient who was facing a possible amputation until Grünenthal’s treatments offered relief and hope, transforming despair into gratitude. Mariángeles is also proud to talk about another patient who suffered from chemotherapy-induced polyneuropathy and experienced severe pain when cuddling her son. A Grünenthal medicine enabled the patient to feel touch again without discomfort and made a meaningful contribution to the entire family.
These moments of smiles and satisfaction are the result of working side by side with healthcare professionals. In this way, Mariángeles gains a detailed understanding of the specific physical and emotional needs of each patient. She can then identify the products and treatments that are the best possible fit for the person and their condition.
“Patients are at the heart of our work and that has allowed our company to grow as a business, while also expanding our contribution to society,” Mariángeles says. “We celebrate clinical achievements and the positive emotional impact we make too.”
For Mariángeles, Grünenthal is a place where passion and profession are closely connected. Her happiness directly reflects the happiness she gives to patients and healthcare workers – as she strives to keep bringing back the joy of life for more people each day.
