Grünenthal certified as family-friendly employer for sixth time
Aachen, Germany, 1 July 2026 – Grünenthal has once again been recognised for its commitment to improving the work-life balance of its employees. As part of the ‘berufundfamilie’ audit, the Aachen-based pharmaceutical company’s certificate has been extended for a further three years with a distinction.
This is the sixth consecutive time that Grünenthal has received the certification for its family- and life-stage-conscious HR policy. Benefits for employees include the ‘Familienstartzeit’ (family starting time), the in-house Karlinis kindergarten in Aachen, and the SmartWork concept, which enables a better work-life balance.
“Being successfully certified for the sixth time is a wonderful endorsement for us,” says Oliver Lamm, Head of HR Germany. “We want to offer our employees the best possible support so that work and private life are well balanced. We are continuously working on this, above all with the aim of remaining an attractive and modern employer in the future.”
The berufundfamilie audit is a strategic management tool that companies use to align their HR policies with the needs of families at various stages of life. Employers who undergo the audit work with the provider to develop tailored measures that meet their specific needs. Successful completion of the audit is rewarded with a quality mark valid for three years.
