Top rating for ESG with best-ever risk management score

Grünenthal’s industry-leading way of doing business responsibly has been reflected in its latest external Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) rating from February 2025.

Low risk rating
Sustainalytics has rated Grünenthal as “low risk”. This means that we have a low unmanaged risk in ESG areas.

Unmanaged risk includes two types of risk: unmanageable risk (risk that cannot be managed, as it is inherent in the products or services of a company and/or the nature of a company’s business), as well as manageable risk (risk that could be managed by a company through suitable initiatives, but which may not yet be managed).

Strong risk management
Sustainalytics also acknowledged our strong management of ESG risks for the fourth year in a row – with increasing scores. The Risk Management Score assesses the robustness of a company's ESG program, practices, and policies.
