Growing a greener future: Our first 50,000 trees planted with Impact Hero
50,000 trees planted – and a long-term commitment
At Grünenthal, environmental responsibility means taking meaningful action to protect the planet. As part of this commitment, we have partnered with Impact Hero to expand our contribution to global reforestation. Together, we have already planted 50,000 trees in Senegal, helping restore degraded landscapes and support healthy ecosystems. By February 2026, an additional 50,000 trees will be planted in Kenya and Tanzania, completing our first 100,000-tree cycle. These efforts mark a significant step forward in our environmental engagement – and if we continue at this pace, we could reach 1 million trees within the next 10 years.
Building on a strong foundation
Our reforestation work builds on the success of #TreesForOurPlanet. Since 2021, colleagues around the world have already planted nearly 40,000 trees through local volunteering and team activities. Their contribution demonstrates how collective engagement can drive meaningful environmental impact.
Why trees matter
Trees are powerful contributors to climate action. They store carbon dioxide, protect soil, support biodiversity and help strengthen the resilience of local communities. Planting more trees today helps create a healthier, more sustainable future.
Part of our wider environmental responsibility
Our reforestation efforts go hand in hand with our broader environmental work. Across our operations and supply chain, we are reducing emissions, improving energy efficiency, advancing sustainable packaging and prioritising suppliers who share our commitment to environmental stewardship.

We have created a dedicated project page where you can learn more about the planting regions, the project approach and our progress. A live tree counter will be updated throughout the year.
