Beyond the Ache:
Cultural Perspectives on Pain

with Prof. Dr. Sabrina Coninx

In the third episode of „Beyond the Ache“, we look at pain as a social and cultural phenomenon. Together with philosopher Prof. Dr. Sabrina Coninx, we discover how the language we use and the communities in which we were brought up shape how we experience, express and endure pain.

And we typically understand pain to be a subjective experience. If we just focus on the physical, we seem to miss something very important.
