A lot has changed during almost ten years since Raúl Llatas joined Grünenthal. As a sales representative, he visits healthcare professionals to help them improve quality of life for people suffering from pain in Levante, Spain. Digital tech has transformed the way he interacts with doctors and nurses, while also changing the way treatments are provided to patients. But Raúl’s experience has shown him that human contact is still incredibly important. “Face-to-face conversations help to build and maintain truly strong relationships,” he says. “And that enables us to make sure doctors and nurses receive the best information to optimise outcomes for patients with chronic pain.”

Raúl’s work with healthcare professionals goes far beyond simply selling medicines. He views himself as an advisor who works hand-in-hand with healthcare professionals to help them make life better for pain patients. At all times, his work is guided by Grünenthal’s vision of a World Free of Pain.

Training is one of his top priorities. Raúl offers a range of materials and services to provide healthcare professionals with new tools, skills and knowledge. He also raises their awareness of the latest approaches and topics to consider when developing effective pain management strategies. On top of this, Raúl also values the continuous training Grünenthal offers its employees. “Thanks to this training, we are able to deliver the highest level of service to healthcare professionals,” he says.

Raúl enjoys his role at Grünenthal – but views his work as a deep commitment to patients rather than just a job.
