Novartis presents “Partner of the Year” award to Grünenthal’s manufacturing site in Ecuador
The global healthcare company Novartis has presented its award for “Partner of the Year 2019” to Grünenthal’s site in Quito, Ecuador. The award recognises outstanding quality, efficiency and commitment – and is the company’s most prestigious prize for the best supplier in all categories in the whole Andean Region.

The team at Grünenthal’s manufacturing site in Quito, Ecuador, has a long track record of providing excellence in all areas of operations – including its Contract Manufacturing Business. It is committed to meeting the unique needs of each customer by offering a fully integrated service portfolio that includes development, production and Logistic Services like warehousing, reconditioning and distribution. In recognition of its outstanding performance, the team recently received the prestigious “Partner of the Year 2019” award from Novartis.
This customer award recognises Grünenthal’s high level of commitment – even in very challenging situations. When protests and riots erupted in Ecuador during October 2019, for example, the company made sure it continued to meet the customer’s expectations by switching its delivery times to the early hours of the morning. Grünenthal’s Ecuadorian team was also selected as the winner of this award because of the many projects it carried out to increase efficiency and reduce costs across all areas of its operations last year. These measures enabled the team to provide Novartis with an average stock accuracy of 99.9 percent as well as an overall service level of 99.9 percent in 2019.
